If you’ve set your wedding date and booked your venue, it’s time to enquire with us. Email us, drop us a line, say hello on Facebook or Twitter and tell us a bit about your plans – we’d love to have a chat. To get things going, we’ll immediately check our availability. If we’re free, great! We can talk through the details of your wedding to build up a picture of your requirements, and provide you with our prices, or a tailored quote if your day has an unconventional approach. Meanwhile we’ll keep your date pencilled in.
To book, we require a deposit paid by bank transfer of £250 which secures the date. We then send you a contract which you can return to us by post, and that’s it! Your wedding photographers are booked.
If you’d like to meet us before you make your booking, let us know. Wherever possible, we love to meet up too.
We can also Skype if that suits you.
Engagement shoots/ planning session
We want to get to know you both so we can take the best and most personal pictures possible at your wedding – and most importantly, make sure you’re 100% comfortable with us too. For that reason, we offer an engagement session* to every couple, or alternatively a planning session and a chat over drinks, wherever possible. If we have not attended your venue before, we will always look to arrange a recce visit before your wedding. Ideally we will do this with you or your wedding planner (if you have one). If your venue is a distance away from us, we will visit the venue the day before or arrive early in order to scout locations and make sure we know our way around.
Approaching the big day
A month before the wedding, we’ll be in touch again asking for location details and schedule of the wedding to be confirmed.
We’ll also ask you to provide us with a list of key names and a list of ‘must have’ photographs that we can use as a guide throughout the day. The remainder of the fee is due at this time too.
On the day of the wedding, Tom will follow the groom whilst Karina will be with the bride up until the ceremony. We then take two different perspectives on the ceremony and the rest of the day as it unfolds. The main reasons we adopt this approach are to keep a relaxed manner and reduce the impact of our presence (one person tends to have to run around a lot!) and to allow more opportunity for creativity and capturing those little moments that you can’t predict.
After the Wedding Day
A week after the wedding, we offer a small selection of ‘sneak preview’ images that we send to you by email. We can also make personalised thank you cards, so you can choose one of your preview images for those at this stage too. Whilst this is happening, we are busy processing your images through 5 stages of development. At busy times a little patience is required as processing takes from 4 to 6 weeks. Whilst we work hard on delivering the pictures, this development is crucial to the quality of the pictures and shouldn’t be rushed.
Delivery of Pictures
Finally, the delivery of your pictures! We initially upload your pictures to your own online gallery for you to look at and share with our friends and family. From there, your guests can easily order prints or download images from the gallery (saving you a big admin job!).
We also send you a beautifully presented CD and DVD in both high and low resolution. Extra copies can be ordered for family members too.
If you have purchased an album package, we then ask you to select the images you would like in your album/s. When you have made your image selection, we can then schedule in time to design it. At that point, we start to design your album and ask for your choice of cover. We then send the design to you for approval, and send the design to Queensberry (our wonderful album makers).
Please note the time that it takes to make your albums varies at busy times of year. Your albums are then delivered directly to you, and we’re sure you’ll treasure them always.
